Valve's team recently released a new beta update for Steam that further optimizes support for the two next-gen controllers on the platform. With the Xbox Series X / S gamepad, for example, gamers now have the option of assigning a different function to the share button.
In addition, up to four Xbox controllers can now be used simultaneously with Steam. The vibration in the shoulder buttons can now also be used with compatible games. The update also optimizes the Xbox Elite Controller. For example, the paddles on the back can now be linked with their own key assignments.
If you use the DualSense controller of the PS5 with Steam, you can also look forward to a small update. Accordingly, players can now adjust the LED on the gamepad. You can find this option in the settings of the controller on Steam. Support for the new functions of the DualSense - including adaptive shoulder buttons and haptic feedback - is still not available. After the beta, the update for the normal launcher will appear.
