Sea of Thieves now has Seasons, and the first of these launched on January 28th. Each season is free for all players and is supposed to last about three months, with minor monthly updates. Each season will introduce a lot of new content into the game. Season 1 comes, for example, with a new voyage from the dealer alliance, which remains permanently part of the game. Also, new live events and challenges will be released during the season. A new level system is also included. Players can climb a total of 100 levels and earn in-game currency, emotes, ancient coins, and much more.

The exams should be suitable for short or long gaming sessions and test the players' skills in treasure hunting, exploration and fighting.
In addition to the normal level system, there is also a paid battle - sorry - loot pass. This costs 999 ancient coins and allows you to get hold of items that are normally available in the shop for real money. Some of them are already available for purchase, while others are being introduced with the Loot Pass. However, the pass will not offer any exclusive items, only the chance to get these items for much less money. Overall, the Loot Pass should contain items worth around 40 euros.
Sea of Thieves (buy now 29.95 €) is available for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. The pirate adventure is even free for all Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
