Developer Dark Lord and publisher Deadalic Entertainment are delighted to present Glitchpunk, a frenzied new top-down action game whose playful and graphic features seem to place it perfectly halfway between Grand Theft Auto 2 and the recent Cyberpunk 2077.
Glitchpunk will offer an action-packed and spectacular experience in which we will take on the role of a bounty hunter android. A glitch within his system, however, will cause our humanoid protagonist to rebel against his own internal programming and take the path of rebellion against tyrannical governments and mega-corporations. As you can see from the debut trailer that you find at the opening of the news, it will be possible to explore the game world by stealing cars and engaging in exciting firefights with your enemies surrounded by the iconic cyberpunk-style neon signs that cover the four available cities. br>
In Glitchpunk there will not only be shooting: the developers also promise the presence of a strong narrative component, capable of telling "a story about transhumanism, religion, and xenophobia. You can influence the world around you, make new ones friendships, face more enemies than you can count, and maybe even find love ".
If at the level of setting and plot we can therefore approach it to Cyberpunk 2077, analyzing the gameplay characteristics it would seem that the title of Dark Lord, on the other hand, gets closer to GTA 2: starting from the view from above, passing through the shootings and the possibility of stealing cars, motorcycles and even running trains I went around the cities, there seems to be a strong underlying inspiration towards the older chapters of the Rockstar Games series.
Glitchpunk is expected in the second half of 2021 on Steam in Early Access. A free demo of the game will be released on Valve's marketplace starting February 3.
