The first deliveries have ended in France: it is an ECR25 electric excavator, and a Volvo FE Electric truck, both currently used in the yard that is carrying out the Grand Paris Express project, a series of high-speed railway lines under construction in the Ile-de-France region.
Volvo strongly believes in electric construction equipment, judging by the words of Melker Jernberg, president of Volvo Construction Equipment: “The delivery of this truck and this excavator represents the beginning of a revolution in the shipbuilding and work equipment sector; these are not niche products, these machines will soon spread and replace endothermic combustion vehicles. "
