TeamGroup is already working with its partners to move into the new era of DDR5 memory. The manufacturer plans to make the first pieces available on the market as early as the third quarter of next year.
TeamGroup's first DDR5 proposals will be part of the Elite series, so they will not offer extreme aesthetic trappings with particular heatsinks and RGB lighting. The other models, in fact, will arrive at a later time. The DDR5 Elite memory modules will have a capacity of 16GB and will run at a frequency of 4,800 MHz. Although the clock is quite high, this is only the beginning of what we will see with the DDR5 modules. In fact, the JEDEC Solid State Technology Association has mentioned frequencies up to 6,800MHz and SK Hynix even expects to reach 8,400MHz.
TeamGroup Elite DDR5-4800 memory will operate with a DRAM voltage of 1.1V. Previous DDR4 required 1.2V, so DDR5 will offer a decrease in power consumption. By adhering to JEDEC specifications, TeamGroup's Elite DDR5 memory will also come with integrated voltage regulators and on-die ECC. The latter means that ECC will be available for everyone, and not just for specific DIMMs as in the past.

TeamGroup did not disclose timing or pricing for Elite DDR5-4800 memory modules. Considering that DDR5 is a new standard, the cost will probably be quite high at first, but it will go down over time.
Recently, TeamGroup also unveiled its new Zeus series of DDR4 memory. The memory kits will be available in UDIMM and SO-DIMM form factors with frequencies up to 3200MHz and capacities up to 64GB. Regardless of format, the modules feature the same design - a black PCB with a slim aluminum heat sink sporting the T-Force and Zeus branding.
TeamGroup also produces the spectacular T-Force drives with ARGB lighting, which you can buy on Amazon at an attractive price.
