The total conversion The Frontier distorts the look and contents of New Vegas to bring us near Portland, in the middle of the Oregon Wasteland. The new area recreated by modders promises to be similar in size to the post-apocalyptic Washington DC of Fallout 4, with tons of landmarks and scenarios recreated by drawing inspiration from real places.
The video packaged by the authors of The Frontier offers us a taste of the role-playing experience to live in their sci-fi reinterpretation of Portland and the rich content created for this mod: among the most important new elements, we mention the introduction of a completely original driving model, of 150 unpublished weapons and hundreds of new armors.
Parallel to the free roaming experience we will also find a story and dozens of side missions with over 24,000 dubbed lines of dialogue. To be able to try the post-apocalyptic adventures of The Frontier it is necessary to have the original game on PC and all the official DLCs of Fallout New Vegas. The Frontier is scheduled for release on January 15, 2021: the total conversion will require the installation of 19 GB of data and will be completely free.
