Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10th, thrilling many users, but disappointing the expectations of owners of old-gen and mid-gen consoles. Although on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X the title was sufficiently playable, on PS4 and Xbox One it was a real disaster: between unacceptable frame drops, intrusive pop-ups and continuous crashes, many users found themselves in their hands a title to be set aside pending the availability of next-gen consoles.
On next-gen consoles, although not without defects, the action / RPG of CD PROJEKT RED is a pleasure for the eyes, as well as on PC, the perfect platform to fully exploit the potential of this mammoth work. As promised by the Polish software house in an apology statement and where it offered the possibility of a refund to disappointed users (click here to learn more), new patches have arrived to improve the situation.
First 1.04 and now 1.05, in view of the two big updates scheduled for January and February 2021. But let's stop the chatter and let's analyze together the improvements brought about by the new patch! As shown in the video above, the Xbox One X version of the title shows a marked improvement on the frame rate front, going from an average 15 fps to an almost fixed 30 fps. As for the resolution, it now fluctuates between 1224p and 1368p, greatly improving the visual impact.
There are still uninspiring improvements on the basic Xbox One: from 11 fps, now we go to 22 fps; still a few, but a clear step forward. It receives an improvement in the visual impact with a resolution that varies between 720p and 900p. Unfortunately, on Sony home consoles, the patch has slightly improved the visual appearance of the PS4 version. PlayStation users, therefore, will have to be patient for a while. On the other hand, January is upon us and we hope that the development team can offer users what Cyberpunk 2077 should have been from the beginning.
On Amazon Italy, the talked about Cyberpunk is available at a discounted price both in version PS4 than Xbox.
