The world of Cyberpunk 2077 is full of flashing lights that could give problems to those suffering from photosensitive epilepsy: a journalist wrote a guide to this effect on Game Informer, but the unexpected result was to unleash the haters.
Welcomed by surprising ratings, Cyberpunk 2077 was particularly appreciated by the international press also for its ability to bring to the screen an incredible futuristic world, full of cyberpunk atmospheres.
Flashing lights are part of this imaginary and it is therefore obvious that they are present in the setting created for the occasion by CD Projekt RED, the huge and disturbing city of Night City.
However, as mentioned, there are people who are very sensitive to these phenomena who they may experience epileptic fits. It happened precisely to Liana Ruppert, author of an article on Game Informer who tries to act as a guide for those suffering from these problems.
Ruppert's piece seeks to provide support to those suffering from photosensitive epilepsy but despite this she does not want to give up the splendid experience offered by Cyberpunk 2077.
The author, however, did not expect anyone to react badly. In fact, it seems that for some hours now she has been receiving hundreds of more or less disguised messages containing videos with flashing lights sent with the express purpose of causing her an attack.
window.twttr = (function (d, s, id) {var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName (s) [0], t = window.twttr || {}; if (d.getElementById (id)) return t; js = d.createElement (s); js.id = id; js.src = "https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore (js, fjs); t._e = []; t.ready = function (f) {t._e.push (f);}; return t;} (document, "script", "twitter-wjs")); twttr.ready (function (twttr) {twttr.widgets.createTweet ('1336204870970433536', document.getElementById ('tw_1336204870970433536'));});
Over the years we have seen a little bit of everything from haters, from death threats to racist and / or sexist petitions, but this is perhaps the lowest and saddest episode ever.
