A couple of weeks ago we told you about ASUS 'GeForce RTX 3090 Turbo, but apparently the Taiwanese company has also given the GeForce RTX 3070 the same treatment.
Graphics cards with blower-style coolers are not so common nowadays, but still being considered by those who want to build a Small Form Factor (SFF) configuration. In fact, especially if you have a chassis with limited airflow available, it is much more advantageous to expel the heat generated by the graphics card rather than re-discharge it into the case.
The GeForce RTX 3070 Turbo (TURBO -RTX3070-8G) offers the same dissipation system as its other Ampere GPU based siblings. This iteration, in particular, is 26.9 × 11.2 × 4cm in size and only takes up two PCI slots. A single 80mm fan blows fresh air to cool the inside of the graphics card and takes advantage of double ball bearings, which provide twice the life of sleeve ones.
The GeForce RTX 3070 Turbo offers two modes of operation. When Game Mode is activated, the GPU increases its frequency up to the reference specification of 1,725 MHz. OC mode, on the other hand, helps push the boost clock speed up to 1,755 MHz.
As for the power section, ASUS has inserted two eight-pin PCIe connectors, both of which are conveniently located on the rear side of the graphics card to help with cable management. As for the requirements, the company recommends a power supply with a minimum capacity of 750W.

Although the GeForce RTX 3070 Turbo is primarily meant for gaming, it can be quite useful for work as well. The device can drive up to four monitors, thanks to an HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs. HDCP 2.3 support is also present if needed.
Unfortunately, ASUS has not yet revealed the price and availability of its GeForce RTX 3070 Turbo yet.
