Windows 10: the nightmare Blue Screen of Death returns
There seems to be no peace for Windows 10 (and especially for its users). Over the weekend the reports of those who have seen the always fearful Blue Screen of Death appear on their computer screen, that blue screen that at any moment interrupts every operation, warning of an anomaly and forcing a forced restart. . Once again, the responsibility seems to be attributable to some updates released.

Microsoft is not the only reality against which to point the finger. : the updates distributed by Trend Micro, Lenovo and Intel also indicted. Apparently the error occurs after putting the computer on standby. The feedback seems to particularly target owners of the HP Envy x360, HP ProBook 650 G4, HP Elite x2 1012 G2, HP ProBook 650 G5 and HP EliteBook x360 1040 G6.

The Dell Latitude 5500 model is being instead, dealing with the “PDC_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT” error: from the manufacturer's support forum this problem also seems to be related to standby and appears to occur on PCs with the 2004 edition (May 2020 Update) of Windows 10. Someone identifies the person responsible in the Trend Micro Apex One security tool, others in recent updates distributed by Intel. The situation is somewhat confused and only an intervention by the Redmond group could clarify.

What is coming to an end has been a very complicated year for Microsoft in terms of updates. The opportunities to write about bugs and anomalies on these pages are unfortunately not lacking.
