From Andrea Berton to Cristina Bowerman, from Giancarlo Perbellini to Luigi Taglienti, 24 lessons allow you to experiment with starred recipes and learn the secrets of the masters
(Photo: Pexels) Imagine opening the calendar box of the advent and, instead of finding a sweet or a surprise, to be able to enter the kitchen of a chef. If the idea appeals to you, you can put it into practice with the initiative launched by Italia keeps on cooking (a project to support catering born with the first lockdown) in collaboration with Eataly. From 1 to 24 December, Christmas Cooking Class offers one virtual lesson a day with a well-known chef: from Andrea Berton to Cristina Bowerman, from Giancarlo Perbellini to Luigi Taglienti.The gourmet version of the countdown to Christmas includes a daily virtual lesson limited to twenty-four participants: 23 are gathered in a group in an online class, while every day only one enthusiast can book an individual lesson to learn all the secrets of cook busy teaching.
The cost for each virtual lesson ranges from 30 to 500 euros (for individual courses) and includes a box illustrated by Serena Pretti with all the ingredients needed to prepare the recipe of the coming day sent directly to the house. Some examples of dishes? On December 1st we start with Franco Ali Berti's shortbread biscuits with a soft heart of hazelnuts, on 10th Eugenio Boer proposes risotto alla bagna cauda, on 15th Davide Caranchini presents cod in black olives crust, on 24th Roberto Di Pinto closes with the gurnard cooked in clay.
The twenty-four lessons with the chefs are joined by two appointments dedicated to mixology: on 13 and 16 December Guglielmo Miriello, bar manager of Ceresio 7 in Milan, teaches how to prepare three perfect cocktails for Christmas: French 75, Vintage Negroni and Old Fashioned.
