A new leak is circulating online according to which Halo Infinite is destined to also have a Battle Royale mode. Furthermore, it appears that 343 Industries plans to support the game with various new chapters, two of which are spin-offs. It also seems that the ending of the game has not yet been definitively decided.
All this information comes via the Twitter account Gaming Leak & Rumors, which explains that a Battle Royale mode was expected for 2021. Obviously, considering that Halo Infinite has been postponed, the logical consequence is that even this mode has actually been moved to a date to be defined. In any case, according to the leak, the Royal Battle should be set on the Zeta Halo Ring. The leaker specifies, however, that the information comes not directly from 343, which has always been against the idea of a Battle Royale, but from Microsoft.
The rumor also speaks of possible sequels. It seems that 343's idea is to support Halo Infinite in a similar way to the Master Chief Collection, that is, releasing four new "chapters" within the next ten years. Two of these would be spin-offs, one of which is a third chapter of Halo Wars.
Finally, it seems that 343 has not yet definitively decided the ending of Halo Infinite: currently the developers are testing two possible conclusions, as the two endings will have a big impact on the entire franchise and upcoming games.
If you have to guess, what do you think will happen?
