A new Final Fantasy XIV Showcase event, scheduled for next year, has been announced on Twitter via the game's official account. The appointment is for February 5, 2021 at 5:30 pm in the US - therefore, for the time zone, at 2:30 am on February 6, 2021 in Italy - and will in effect be a showcase of interesting announcements. In addition, it will be possible to attend the event in Japanese or English.
At the moment, no further details have been provided on the event, but the software house itself has stated that, precisely in that circumstance, they will be a series of interesting announcements revealed to the general public. Considering that the various appointments involving Final Fantasy XIV had been resized or canceled due to the current pandemic, this news has rekindled the spirit of many fans.

Also, we know that Final Fantasy XIV patch 5.4 will arrive this December for the Shadowbringers DLC, released in June 2019, but at the moment Square Enix has not announced on which platform it can be followed. The last three expansions of Final Fantasy XIV, namely Heavensward, Stormblood, and Shadowbringers were all revealed between October and November of 2014, 2016, and 2018. Surely, if it wasn't for the issues related to the current pandemic, this patch would come sooner. However, it looks like it will be big enough to keep players busy until the next announcement.
Currently, Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4 and PC, but another good news is that the producer and director of the game, Naoki Yoshida, has expressed his wish that Final Fantasy XIV arrives on PS5, without exclude a possible landing even in the Xbox universe. It would be interesting to play the title while enjoying the improvements of the next generation consoles. And you, what do you hope to see in the next showcase recently announced?
You can buy Final Fantasy XIV at a great price on Amazon Italy at this address and if you are a fan of the series, we also recommend the purchase of Final Fantasy VII Remake.
