Digital Solidarity: the Vicini e Connessi project

Digital Solidarity: the Vicini e Connessi project
The Digital Solidarity project, which in the very first place lent a hand to professionals struggling with smart working and which more recently focused its attention on the world of school, enters a new phase with the launch of Vicini e Connessi: the goal is to support local businesses thanks to digital tools. This is how it is presented on the MiD website.

Vicini e Connessi is the initiative of the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digitization to support local merchants, local shops and small businesses through online commerce platforms and digital services to promote their activities.

Neighbors and Connected: digital for the local economy

Focus therefore on services aimed at local merchants, artisan shops and proximity shops, severely tested by the travel restrictions necessary to contain the spread of COVID-19. It aims to "reduce the difficulties in procurement of people who can move less than before and counter the risks of closing small businesses otherwise damaged by a drop in demand".

The Department for Digital Transformation invites suppliers of online commerce, logistics and technological assistance services to help neighborhood merchants, local retailers and small businesses in using digital channels for the sale of their products or services.

Those who wish to join Vicini e Connessi can do so by making their services and products available, becoming a partner of the initiative. The offers received will then be published on the Digital Solidarity portal, offering recipients various opportunities:

sell its products and services through online commerce platforms, portals and other digital tools to make products sold in their stores purchasable on the web; receive IT support and assistance; make home deliveries; promote and enhance proximity trade, also through communication and advertising actions.
