If you are there approaching the genre for the first time and you don't know where to start, then the new book just announced by Mondadori Oscar Vault could be for you. It is called Cyberpunk Absolute Anthology, and it promises to collect within it the most important works that have helped to define the entire literary current. The release is set for next February 9th, even if the publisher was amused in indicating 2077 as the year of release - a clear reference to the awaited video game signed by CD Projekt RED.
included in the collection are currently unknown: teased on the subject, the managers of Mondadori replied: "One thing at a time, we have to create hype". On the cover (which you can see below), there are in any case three high-sounding names: William Gibson, Neal Stephenson and Bruce Sterling, the authors who defined the entire genre. Of Gibson we expect Neuromancer, the main forerunner of cyberpunk and the first chapter of the Sprawl trilogy dated 1984. Stephenson could be represented with Snow Crash, the novel that brought him to fame in 1992, while Sterling from Islands in the Net. speculations, for certainty we await official confirmation.
