The weekend featured the new Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR built by the well-known tuner Romeo Ferraris. The new car is presented as an electric variant dedicated to the Pure ETCR championship which will see its debut starting next year.
The great project completed by the Romeo Ferraris engineers was born with the aim of introducing the prestigious Italian sedan in the racing world, characterizing it with the implementation of a zero-emission electric engine.
Michela Cerruti, head of the team, said:
We are very happy to have given birth to this project, the result of a long work started a year ago, when we decided to embark on a new adventure, which also marks our debut in the world of electric car racing. The design of the Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR is inevitably enhanced by the classic and historic Rosso Alfa color of the bodywork, which is common to most of the Alfa sports cars. There is no shortage of Romeo Ferraris details that embellish the livery with different graphics on the side, accompanied - as shown in the photos - by the logo of the Opera specialist.
The new car is also made exclusive by the aerodynamic elements structured in order to enhance performance at high speeds. However, the Alfa Romeo Giulia ETCR does not lack a series of features shared with all the other ETCR cars; among the characteristics in common we find in fact the Williams Advanced Engineering batteries, Magelec inverters, gearboxes and BrightLoop converters.
Pure ETCR director, Xavier Gavory, also showed his enthusiasm in welcoming the new car, declaring:
We are delighted to welcome it. Romeo Ferraris has a great tradition in motorsport having achieved so many successes in over 60 years of history and its commitment to Pure ETCR is important. The livery also represents the future.
